Evening Chorus choir is happy to announce that we will be continuing to rehearse in Bancroft's School.

Each Wednesday evening we get together to have fun warm-ups, learn new songs, and to enjoy singing together.  Sit in for a session by emailing evening.chorus1@gmail.com.

 

 

Here is some information about our choir:
We are a friendly, female choir meeting every Wednesday evening during term time. We rehearse at Bancroft's School.

 

Our repertoire is wide-ranging, from show tunes to Mozart and everything in between.

 

New singers are always welcome. We don’t audition, and although the ability to read music is not essential, enthusiasm and a love of music is.

 

To help those who don't read music, all voice parts of songs are available free online to members.

 

You are welcome to come along and try us out without charge for a week or two to see how you get along.

In normal times, we perform several times a year to raise funds. At the end of both the Christmas and the summer terms we hold a soiree to perform for our friends and families. More recently we have been invited to take part in several other events, including the Chingford Village Festival, the Chigwell Riding Trust nativity play, and the NSPCC Christmas Fayre in Woodford Wells.

 

The emphasis of our choir is to have fun and share the joy of music. We work hard to make our concerts a success, and as choral singing is essentially about teamwork, we do ask that members commit to attending as many rehearsals as possible and make every effort to perform at the events that we present.
